On Friday 9th February Winton took 20 students to New York to see and experience one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
This is the 10th year Winton has run this trip, giving students experiences that they might not get. The students were impeccable and we had several that had not been out of the country or even flown before.
The annual trip gave students six days of culture, sightseeing and the experience of the hustle and bustle of the most popular city in the United States.
Another fabulous trip, made all the more special by the great students and staff that went. We are already planning next years trip with even more exciting experiences.
“The sights and sounds were amazing, It was an exciting experience which I will never forget” Harrison Flavell Year 10 student.
Photography teacher Philip Messingham said “It is giving students opportunities like this that really makes teaching worthwhile, whether it is taking students to London or New York, getting them to experience things for the first time and seeing how they adapt is marvellous. It broadens their horizons and makes them see that the world is a big place, which is full of opportunities for them”.
