Good Food Guide Andover | Visit The Beach at The Lunar HareThe Lunar Hare bounced in to Andover in February 2015, quickly impressing locals with fine food, beautiful wines and real ales.

One of the many jewels in this magnificent crown is the enclosed garden to the rear of the property, ‘The Beach’ has the feel of just that, sand pits for the children, a range of seating with sunnier days seeing a range of deck chairs available to relax in on the lawn or decking areas.

The most quirky and fun part of the Lunar Hare Beach garden experience is the range of brightly painted open fronted beach shacks for patrons to relax in, whilst enjoying a glass or two of something from the well stocked bar.

Blankets are available to snuggle up in on colder days or nippy nights, ensuring that those who want an alfresco experience are catered for.

The Lunar Hare is run by locals, for locals, with a great understanding of what Andover needs and wants, this is a great place for a romantic meal, a family gathering, a quiet coffee or a catch up with friends. Owner, Allen Watts told Andover & Villages, “The Lunar Hare is a different kind of pub. It is the kind of pub we have been in search of for many years, so we created it ourselves.”

The Lunar Hare opens Monday to Saturday 9am to 11pm, and Sundays 10am to 10pm.
