The new drop-in facility for Veterans has come to Andover looking to help ex service men and women with any issues they may have or just to provide a place for veterans to come together to chat with likeminded people over a hot drink and some food.
The Drop-in facilities have been developed in partnership between, Hampshire County Councils, Culture Communities and Business Services and HOMER (Hampshire’s Operational Model for Effective Recovery) and is being piloted for 6 months in both Winchester and Andover before hopefully being rolled out County wide.
The remaining sessions will be held as follows;
Winchester. Every third Wednesday of the month with the next session to fall on the 15th of January. 1500-1800
Andover. Every second Saturday of the month with the next session to fall on the 11th of January. 1200-1500
Douglas Gould & Jon Whale from HCC with Cllr Iris Anderson and with representatives from The Royal British Legion & SSAFA along with 2 of the Veterans that attended the day.
