Yesterday, Ben Harvey, of Ridges Way, Little London, had told the court he had been dreaming of killing someone after taking drugs which were bought from a drug dealer in Andover.

Mr William Rudiak, 26, of Winchester Road, Chandler’s Ford, who was found at a home in Turin Court last year.

Winchester Crown Court had heard that Mr Havey had entered the house in Turin Court through an opened window armed with a large kitchen knife.

The court also was told by Kerry Maylin, prosecuting, said: “[He] went up the stairs and fatally stabbed William Rudiak. William Rudiak in the early hours of the morning was fast asleep, he lay in bed next to his girlfriend

“It was during the course of him [Mr Rudiak] being fatally stabbed Alexandra Taylor woke up not because William had been stabbed but she felt someone biting her cheek.”

Mr Harvey, 22, had fled the scene after stabbing William Rudiak in his girlfriend’s bedroom.

The scene was described as “blood everywhere” and she said added that: “He looked so scared. I couldn’t help him.”

Mr Harvey is also being accused of attempted sexual assault with a teenager, which he broke into an address later that morning.

It was mentioned Mr Havey had an addiction to cocaine and cannabis and was in a debt of around £11,00.

He (Ben Harvey) had told his girlfriend and parents he thought he had been dreaming about killing somebody. After discovering Mr Harvey was at the address in the early hours he said to his girlfriend and parents: “I don’t know, it was just a random house and I thought it was a dream.”
