Local news | Unconcious man Found in london Street AndoverPolice are making an urgent appeal for witnesses to help them piece together the circumstances that led to a man being found unconscious in a road in Andover during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, April 12).

At 3.56am, police received a report of a man lying in the middle of the road in London Road near the Highlands Road turning. The injured man, who is believed to be 45 and local to the area, was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he is being treated for serious head injuries.

Officers know from speaking to friends and family that he had been out for the evening in the town centre, and was last seen by a friend at 1.30am prior to being found unconscious in the road.

CCTV in the area is being studied, but officers investigating are very keen to hear from anyone who has any information which could help them establish what happened to the injured man.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and ask for Operation Culloden. The investigating officer is Sergeant Gabe Snuggs.
