Two charged in connection with Tidworth robbery

Two people have been charged in connection with a robbery at a Spar shop in Tidworth last week. As previously detailed a person wearing a gas mask to conceal their face entered the Spar Shop on Pennings Road at 9:45pm last Wednesday, October 15 2014, and threatened a staff member with a knife before leaving with cash and cigarettes.

Twenty two year old Pippa Louise Simpson from George VI Road, Tidworth was charged with robbery yesterday, Sunday 19 October. She appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today, Monday 20 October, where she was remanded in custody to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on Monday 17 November.

A 15-year-boy, also from Tidworth, was charged with assisting an offender and handling stolen goods. He appeared at Swindon Youth Court today where he was released on bail to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on Thursday 30 October.

Police are still keen to hear from anyone with any information in relation to the incident. People are asked to contact either Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if they wish.
