Hampshire Police have charged two men, following a collision in Andover in which a six-year-old boy sustained serious injuries.

The collision involving two motorcycles and the six-year-old pedestrian, took place in London Road at around 7pm on Sunday, 17th July 2016.

The boy sustained serious head and leg injuries.

Nathan Crocker, 24, of The Grove, Penton Grafton has been charged with:

• causing serious injury by dangerous driving

• driving without a licence

• driving without insurance

• failing to stop after a road accident

• failing to report that accident.

Damian Wernham, 23, of Dene Court, Andover has been charged with:

• dangerous driving

• driving without a licence

• driving without insurance.

Both men have been bailed to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on December 22.

A third man, a 21-year-old from Andover, was also arrested in July – there will be no further action against him in relation to this collision.

Nine days before the six-year-old child was mown down, Wernham posted an image onto Crocker’s Facebook page of young naked men on motocross bikes, riding on pavements in a town centre, Wernham typed the caption ‘Aha we should do this through town pmsl x’.

Wernham’s Facebook page depicts an image of a young policewoman, with obscene text, posted on 27th November.
