Tightrope Fun at Abbotts Ann Village FeteThe days are getting shorter and the evenings are getting colder. But that summer feeling was still well and truly alive and kicking at the Abbotts Ann Village Fete yesterday.

Visitors were treated to a seasonal spectacular, jam packed with things to do and see. Activities varied from the mini Olympics for fitness fiends, the ever popular car show for automobile addicts and a craft and produce show for creativity connoisseurs.

Bernie Bennett kept fete goers on the edge of their seats with his daring comedy tightrope act. Bernie said: “I really enjoyed performing at the Abbotts Ann Fete today. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and it was easy to get volunteers to join in my shows, especially the kids -who made an excellent tug of war tightrope for a local girl called Sky to walk across.”

Funds raised by the event will go to support local organisations including St Mary’s Church and the local Primary and Nursery School.
