Police are appealing for information after a woman had her bank card stolen from her purse when two men approached her asking for directions in the Tesco car park in River Way, Andover.

One man distracted the 71-year-old lady while the other removed her purse from inside her handbag.

One offender was described as white, about 25 to 35-years of age, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build. He had short dark hair which was short on the sides and longer on top. He had thin lips, a long straight nose and slightly olive skin. He was wearing a bright white and dark brown or black striped top and dark trousers or jeans. He had an eastern European accent.
