The Tea Cosy in Hurstbourne Tarrant has become a firm local favourite in less than a year of trading. At the helm local, Jenni Danks, has the magic touch that has seen this perfect little tea room grow into a integral part of the community.
Thursday 4th December 2014 saw the Tea Cosy’s first Christmas Fayre. Andover & Villages attended and was blown away by how busy and successful the night was. Tickets for the night were £2 each, and entitled you to a mince pie and a cup of mulled wine. Over one hundreds tickets were pre-sold, and on offer for the night was a variety of festive stalls, including: Lulu’s Clothing from Andover, selling warm winter knits and beautiful furry hats and accessories; Kirsty Colbourne’s gifts, which had a variety of beautiful gifts; Flowers by Rebecca , who were selling festive floral treats; The Bunting Box with their festive bunting and many more small craft and independent stalls.
The Tea Rooms were packed full of stalls and shoppers, and outside the Military Wives Choir sang beautifully a variety of Christmas songs and carols, whilst visitors watched on, clutching their warming mulled wine.
One of the popular attractions on the night were the home made reindeer, which are resident at The Tea Cosy over the Christmas period. They could be purchased from around £7.50, and Jenni insists on naming each of the little fellows before they leave. Andover & Villages are now the proud owners of Ronnie and Reggie, the Reindeer Twins!
Andover & Villages congratulates Jenni and the team on a fabulous Christmas Fayre. What an achievement!
