The Reverend Valerie Elizabeth Gagen Appointed Chaplain of Charity Enham Trust

The Reverend Val Gagen has been licensed to the parish of Smannell and Enham Alamein, along with the Pastrow benefice. Val was licensed at a service held on Thursday 28th August 2014 at Christ Church, Smannell by the Venerable Michael Harley Archdeacon of Winchester. The service was a real celebration and was attended by many representatives from across the Parish including Peta Wilkinson CEO of Enham Trust, disability charity and many residents of Enham Alamein.

Rev Val has been dually appointed as chaplain to Enham Trust and Assistant Priest to the seven churches of the Pastrow Benefice, including Smannell and Enham Alamein. On the first Sunday of the month she can be found at St Georges, Enham Alamein at 10am, and on the 4th Sunday at 10am at Christchurch, Smannell. On the 2nd and 3rd Sundays she will be leading services elsewhere in the benefice.

Val says: “I feel very affirmed that the Lord is calling me to service in the lovely villages of Enham Alamein and Smannell, as well as being licensed to the Pastrow Benefice, and also to be a part-time chaplain with Enham Trust. I am excited about starting as a chaplain to the Enham Trust and looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Lizzie and Martin, clients of Enham Trust, said: “The service was a wonderful night. Val is very lovely and we are excited to have her as our new chaplain.”
