Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Iris Andersen, will be joined by more than 60 guests from a variety of organisations that support older people in Andover to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Charities and organisations from across Andover were entered into a draw and the Mayor randomly selected those that would receive an invitation by pulling names out of a hat. The lunch will take place at the Upper Guildhall, Andover, on Thursday, 21 April and will include entertainment from Cosmic Sparkle, a group of musicians who will perform songs from a bygone era.
Councillor Andersen said: “I am looking forward to welcoming my guests to lunch in honour of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday. There are lots of charities and organisations in Test Valley which support and care for older people and I’d like to thank them all for their hard work. A special thanks go to Lloyds Banking Group, Simply Health, Hampshire Valley Wines, Active Staff, Choices Hire Services and Globe Galleries for contributing their products and services to the event.”
Former Mayor of Test Valley, Bryan Beggs, will present a homage to the Queen and guests will join Councillor Andersen in a toast to Her Majesty on her very special birthday.
