The Chantry Shopping Centre, Andover has, for the fifth year in a row, won a Silver Award in the Zero Waste Awards, which celebrates the fantastic work that organisations are doing to drive down waste from landfill.
The Zero Waste Awards, organised by the Environment Media Group, are not competitive with entrants judged purely on their merits.
“We take the subject of waste management very seriously at The Chantry Centre,” says Steve Cotney, Centre Manager. “It is even more satisfying when this recognition achieves a Silver Award – not once, but five times.”
Karen Cannard, creator and co-founder of the Rubbish Diet Challenge and one of the judges said: “The Zero Waste Awards recognises leadership and action amongst those who are working hard to create a more sustainable and resourceful economy, embedding ambitious waste reduction practices into the heart of their organisations.”
