Castledown Enterprise Centre | The Castledown Enterprise Centre Building Business in LudgershallThe Castledown Enterprise Centre was created in response to the increasing need for office spaces for small and start-up businesses. The Wiltshire Council initiative offers affordable options and aims to boost the local economy and provide employment for local people.

With the variety of facilities available there is scope for any business; from the starter option of a post box and virtual office to a unit for companies in need of additional space. All costs except for outgoing calls are covered in the easy terms and flat rate…everything including the tea and coffee!

There is no doubt the benefits of being part of a business community are endless and this is clearly evident in Ludgershall. Tenants have the ability to build contacts and trade on their own doorstep as well as with an additional 50 businesses based at the Trowbridge, Salisbury and Royal Wootton Bassett centres. Other networking opportunities include an annual event with guest speaker where the centres’ business owners can pitch pop up stands and make contact with local traders.

Training is an integral part of growing a successful business and there is an assortment on offer at the Enterprise Centre; auto enrolment pensions and social media workshops are amongst many free to those based at the site along with anyone else who has or is thinking about starting a business in the local area.

Centre coordinator Russell Frith joined the team just over a year ago and has seen spaces available in Wiltshire snapped up at a rapid rate:

“Centres in Salisbury and Trowbridge are already full. A year ago the Castledown Enterprise Centre was home to four businesses and now has nine!”

Future plans include furthering links to the surrounding military personnel and spouses with hopes to expand the ever growing business community. With so much on offer it is no wonder the Castledown Enterprise Centre is filling up fast!
