Test Valley Borough Council’s Revised Local Plan progresses further

Following the appointment of Mr Phillip Ware BSc (Hons) DipTP MRTPI as the Planning Inspector to carry out an independent examination into the Test Valley Revised Local Plan 2011 to 2029, the Council has received the Inspector’s Matters and Issues document.

The purpose of the document is to list the main points which the inspector has identified for further clarification. This is an expected part of the process and is available for the public to view at the Revised Local Plan Examination page at www.testvalley.gov.uk. A copy has also been sent, by the Programme Officer, to all those who have made representations during the last round of consultation.

The Planning Inspector will hold a pre-hearing meeting, available for the public to attend, on Wednesday, 15 October at 2.00pm at Beech Hurst, Andover. The meeting will set out the management of the examination, the overall programme and the submission of additional representations relating to the matters and issues.

The hearing sessions will begin at Beech Hurst on the 11 December before moving to Crosfield Hall, Romsey on 13 January. The hearings will only be concerned with considerations relating to the soundness of the plan and the legality of the process followed.
