Local News | Tesco Issue Slow Cooker Product Recall Over Fears Of Shocking | Andover & VillagesTesco have issued a product recall for their own brand 3.0 Ltr and 5.5 Ltr Slow Cooker over a risk of electric shock.

The model number in question is: SCSS12/SCSS13 fitted with a ‘KDJ’ branded plug.

Model number information can be found on the white label attached to the base of the slow cooker, and KDJ plugs will have KDJ printed between the two base pins on the plug.

Tesco state: “We have identified that on a very small number of units, the plug may unexpectedly break, exposing live parts – posing a risk of electric shock.”

“As a precautionary measure, we are recalling affected model numbers fitted with KDJ plugs from customers. No other Tesco products are known to be affected.”

If you have an affected slow cooker stop using it immediately and return it to store where you will be given a full refund or replacement. No receipt is required.
