Two seventeen-year-olds were trapped in a car following a collision with a tree on The Avenue last night with one left with life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place just before 9.30pm.
Hampshire Police, Ambulance, HIOWAA Critical Care Car and the Fire Service rushed to the scene and worked to free the trapped teenager.
One of the teenagers was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital with minor injuries.
The other sustained serious and life-threatening injuries and was taken to the trauma unit at the University Hospital in Southampton.
Hampshire Police have launched an appeal for information, “We are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision which took place in Andover. Shortly after 9.30pm last night (16 Sept) a white Mimi driving along The Avenue left the carriageway and collided with a tree. Anyone with info or dashcam is asked to call 101 quoting 4419031216.”
