New local business, Tapin Tyres has closed down amid falling sales at their premises on Walworth Industrial Estate.

Tapin Tyres is a family-run business that has been operating for more than 12 years. It was founded in Bramley in 2003, and relocated to Andover.

After its relocation, Tapin Tyres applied to Test Valley Borough Council for a business grant, however as part of the application process, businesses are visited twice within a six month period and the company were due their second visit this month and so no money was handed over.

The Tapin Tyres website is still in operation, but the phone line has been disconnected and all of the stock and equipment has been sold to other local tyre businesses.

Tapin Tyres were unavailable for comment.
