Every dog lover knows that having your favourite pooch beside you lifts your spirits and generally puts you in a better mood. With their cute looks and fun antics, it’s no surprise that we cherish our dogs as our best friends.

In recognition of this, Lintbells, manufacturers of natural premium pet supplements is joining in on the Bring Your Dog to Work Day charity initiative taking place this Friday 22nd June. As part of this, Lintbells will be welcoming several charming pooches into their offices in Hertfordshire during the week leading up to the main day, all in the name of charity.

Bring Your Dog To Work Day is an annual nationwide event that raises money for charities dedicated to making a difference to the welfare of dogs. This year marks the fifth national event of its kind and is organised by HOWND. All proceeds this year go to dog rescue charity All Dogs Matter, a charity that rehomes hundreds of dogs every year in London and Norfolk.

Rebecca Davies from Lintbells said: “We are very excited to come on board with this charity initiative and are excited to welcome our loyal four-legged companions into our offices. We have already met some lovely pooches and I must say, the team is really enjoying it. As well as raising funds for a noble cause, this initiative definitely boosts an already productive workforce to be stress free and more efficient. We are looking to do this more often over the next couple of months.”

Take Your Dog to Work Day

Several scientific studies have proven that the presence of pets can substantially reduce a person’s stress level in the workplace. Increased job satisfaction, team co-operation and morale have all been reported in employees that spend the workday with their pets.

Lintbells has taken every step to ensure that the visiting dogs are as comfortable as possible. New environment smells and unfamiliar people can sometimes be stressful to our four-legged friends and so the company has split the number of visitors over the course of the week. The experienced team of vet nurses will also be on hand to support them throughout the day.

Jo Amit from HOWND commented: “Since 2014, the year we established Bring Your Dog To Work Day, we have witnessed a growing number of businesses across the UK that allow dogs in the workplace. We are really happy that Lintbells has come on board with us this year and look forward to their participation.”
