Test Valley Borough Council have announced that their Severe Weather Emergency Protocol is been put in place following harsh weather in the Test Valley. Anyone sleeping rough can benefit from the special arrangements
This protocol is triggered when the temperatures are set to fall below zero for a minimum of three nights in a row. It can also be triggered through other periods of significant adverse weather.
The council have put special arrangements in preparation for anyone sleeping rough.
The council in association with Two Saint’s Direct Access Hostel in Andover and will provide bed and food for anyone sleeping rough in the Test Valley during this cold spell.
Council has advised anyone who has seen a rough sleeper call 0300 500 0914 visit Streetlink to notify the relevant local authority.
