Test Valley Partnership is appealing for community groups to submit bids for a share of £17,500, as part of Hampshire County Council’s Have Your Say scheme.
Local groups have between Friday 30 January and Monday 23 February, to bid for a grant of up to £2,000. Money will be awarded to projects developed by the local community for the local community.
Once applications have closed, the bids will be put to a public vote to enable local people to choose the projects they want to see funding awarded to. The money will be shared equally between projects in the north of the borough and projects in the south.
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council and Chairman of Test Valley Partnership, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “I really would urge any local group looking to get their community project off the ground to submit a bid for funding. Each year we get a great response but there are hundreds more initiatives out there that would benefit from a helping hand financially. Please don’t miss the chance to bid for funding and submit your application now.”
