Officers from the child abuse investigation team at Hampshire Constabulary have charged a man in connection with an investigation into online sexual offences.
Daniel Norton, 25, from Cheadle, in Stockport, has been charged with the following
Three counts of inciting a female aged 13-15 years to engage in sexual activity
Three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child
One count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child
The images had been shared on various media platforms including Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube.
Police in Northamptonshire, Brighton and Bristol all raised concerns about the video, describing it as “distressing” and “disturbing”.
Parents were urged to check their children’s phones as it had been widely circulated.
Instagram said it had removed the content and its team was searching for and removing any other copies.
