Hundreds of homes across Andover were left without water last night.

The initial reports of homes having no water came into Southern Water at around 11.20pm on 3rd April 2018.

Crews were dispatched and quickly diagnosed a burst water pipe, almost opposite from where a burst water pipe was dug up and replaced late last year.

A large team worked through the night, having to use floodlights to aid them. Water was restored to some properties from around 5am on 4th April 2018.

Workers remain on-site at the time of publication.

Southern Water said, “On-site of burst – repair no water.

“We have a team on-site repairing the burst. All properties should be back in supply, but you may notice some discolouration.”
