There were slides, swings and plenty of things available for some fun in the sun at the Saxon Fields Play Area this weekend.
Over 150 people attended the official opening of the park and enjoyed a variety of things to see and do on the sweltering September Saturday; there were plenty of fury friends to meet and greet at animal corner, a chance for beloved bow wows to get a makeover at the dog grooming station and donkey rides for the budding equestrian.
Precious pooches paraded for prizes in the Harrow Way Dog Show competing for titles in the ‘Dog most like its owner’ and ‘Old timer’ categories.
The Mayor of Test Valley Councillor Iris Andersen oversaw proceedings and told Andover and Villages: “The atmosphere was great. The dog show was a fantastic event to bring the local community together and went very well indeed.”
She continued: “It was a lovely event seeing all children inclusively, so happy using the wonderful facilities.”
