September News From Testbourne - by Headteacher Ruth Beasley

I am pleased to report that Testbourne GCSE examinations results 2014 were a cause for celebration, another year of pleasing results.

The year has got off to a splendid start.  We have welcomed 162 students into Year 7.  They all seem to have settled well and are enjoying the new challenges that secondary school brings.

We also welcomed 5 new teachers to theTestbourne team.  This includes 2 new members of the Senior Leadership Team, Tom Parsons, Assistant Headteacher has joined us from Kings School, Winchester and Jenny MacAulay from Avonbourne College in Bournemouth.  They too seem to have settled well.

The start of the September term is always a pleasure as students return smartly dressed and ready for business.  We are currently preparing for a major school production, Honk which will be performed before half term – do come along and see the show.

Next week sees our Open Evening when prospective families can come along to look around the school.  Doors open at 6.00pm on Thursday 25th September.  We are also offering Open Mornings when you can come along and see us in action.  Open Mornings run from 1st October through to the 10th October.  Please call reception and book a tour if you are interested in having a look around.
