There was much to celebrate at Rookwood School last week thanks to 2016’s exceptional GCSE results.
With 100% of students gaining five or more A*- C grades, an outstanding 69% A* – B and 36% A* or A. Among the many successes were Stephanie Halwa, Chloe Hutchings, Christopher Long, Georgina McCall and Theo Youds who all gained 10 or more A*/A grades. Rookwood School has a well-deserved reputation for its nurturing and supportive atmosphere – an approach that has led to continued academic success for this non-selective school.
Headmaster, Dr Mark Whalley, commented: ‘I am really proud of all of our Year Eleven pupils. They have all worked incredibly hard and truly deserve their fantastic results. Across the board our results this year have been excellent particularly as we are a non-selective school.
“Watching our young people gain qualifications which open doors for their future careers is the highlight of my year and I wish our students every success as they move on to new challenges – they have very firm foundations on which to build. Well done to all!”
