ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISRUPTIONS FOR A303 – A34 – M3 – M27 – WC 19/11/18

M3 junction 6 Basingstoke, Hampshire: surveys
Work to investigate and conduct surveys at the junction takes place this week.  The M3 northbound entry slip road at junction 6 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Tuesday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A30.
 
M4 junction 8/9 Maidenhead, Berkshire: bridge maintenance
Work to ensure safety by maintaining the bridge which carries the M4 over the A308 Windsor Road at Bray continues this week. The A308 Windsor Road beneath the bridge will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday 19 November for three weeks (Monday to Friday only).
 
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A308, A332, M4 and A308(M).
 
Vehicles which are not permitted to travel on the motorway are recommended to travel to the A308 Windsor Road/Maidenhead Road, A332 Royal Windsor Way, A355 Tuns Lane, A4 Bath Road and A308 Braywick Road.
 
M4 junction 8/9 Maidenhead to 10 Wokingham, Berkshire: smart motorway
Work to improve journeys by converting the M4 into a smart motorway continues this week. 24 hour narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction will be in place until spring 2019.
 
M4 junction 12 Reading, Berkshire: signage
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage at junction 12 takes place this week. The westbound exit slip road at junction 12 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Wednesday 21 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 13.

M4 junction 12 Reading, Berkshire: bridge joint replacement
Work to replace the bridge joint starts this week at junction 12.  Lane closures will be in place on the westbound exit slip road and the roundabout overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Thursday 22 November for 7 nights (Monday to Friday only).
 
M4 junctions 13 Chieveley to 14 Hungerford, West Berkshire: drainage
Work to ensure road user safety by maintaining the drainage system along the M4 continues this week. Lane closures will be in place on the east and westbound carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 19 November for five nights.
 
M4 junctions 14 Hungerford, West Berkshire to 15 Swindon, Wiltshire: safety barrier
Works to ensure road user safety by replacing sections of the safety barrier continues this week. The westbound exit slip road at junction 15 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Friday 30 November (Monday to Friday only).  A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 16 and return.
 
M27 junctions 3 to 4 Southampton, Hampshire: bridge reconstruction
Work to maintain journeys and ensure road user safety by replacing the Romsey Road bridge near junction 3 continues this week. A 50mph speed restriction is in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways beneath the bridge until summer 2019.
 
M27 junction 7 Hedge End, Hampshire: street lighting
Work to improve journeys by maintaining the street lighting takes place this week. The westbound exit and entry slip roads at junction 7 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Wednesday 21 November. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.
 
In addition the eastbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 19 November. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.
 
M27 junction 9 Whiteley; Hampshire: street lighting
Work to improve journeys by maintaining the street lighting takes place this week. The westbound entry slip road at junction 9 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Tuesday 20 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A27
 
M27 junction 12 Cosham, Hampshire: street lighting
Works to improve journeys by maintaining the street lighting at the junction takes place this week. The link from the M27 eastbound carriageway to the M275 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 22 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A2030 Eastern Road roundabout and return.
 
In addition, the link from the M275 northbound to the M27 westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Friday 23 November. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A2030 Eastern Road and junction.
 
A3(M) junction 3 Waterlooville, Hampshire: bridge joint replacement
Work to undertake essential maintenance to replace a joint in the bridge which carries the roundabout over the A3(M) takes place this week. The northern side of the roundabout, the northbound entry slip road, as well as the eastbound Hulbert Road approach will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 19 November for 4 nights. During the closures various clearly signed diversions will be in place.
 
A3 Guildford, Surrey: carriageway repairs
Work to maintain the northbound carriageway between the Stoke Interchange and Burpham starts this week. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Saturday 24 November for 2 nights.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place from Compton via the B3000 Puttenham Heath Road, A31 Hogs Back, A31 Farnham Road, Onslow Street, A246, A3100 London Road and Clay Lane.
 
A3 Milford, Surrey: street lighting
Work to ensure road user safety by maintaining the street lighting at the Milford junction continues this week. The northbound entry slip road at the junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Thursday 22 November for 5 nights (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Thursley junction.
 
The southbound entry slip road at the junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 19 November for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Hurtmore junction.
 
A31 Hampshire: road markings
Works to improve journey safety by renewing road markings along the A31 takes place this week. The westbound carriageway will be closed from junction 2 of the M27 to the A338 Ashley Heath roundabout overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Thursday 22 November for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A36 to Salisbury, then south on the A338 to Ringwood.
