Local News | Rare Coins Stolen in Burglary | Andover & VillagesPolice are appealing for information about a burglary in Amesbury last Friday (12 January 2018).

The break-in took place at a house in School Lane, Amesbury, between the hours of 11am and 3.45pm.

A property was broken into via the front door and a collection of rare coins were stolen including the Beatrix Potter 50p collection and Kew Garden 50p coins, amongst others.

A man in his 50s and his elderly mother have been left very shaken and upset by the burglary.

PC Hannah Milburn, from Amesbury Police Station, said: “The stolen items have a great amount of personal value to the victims of this crime and we would really like to see them returned.

“We are appealing for anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in School Lane, Amesbury, between the hours of 11am and 3.45pm, to contact police via 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
