For Volunteer Week 2016, Test Valley Community Services is joining with Lloyds Bank to celebrate community at the Charity Awareness & Fun Day to be held on 4th June. The Volunteer Centre has been allocated approximately 25 pitches, each around 3m x 3m and it will be FREE to take part.
This event differs from our usual events in that it is out of doors and unfortunately facilities and equipment will be each exhibitor’s responsibility.
Unfortunately TVCS will be unable to provide tables, chairs or gazebos for this event: it will be your responsibility to bring them yourself. There is no parking on the field (though car parking will be reserved off field for exhibitors and carnival staff after setting up.) It is envisaged there will be numerous volunteers on the field to help with putting up gazebos, etc, if required.
You will be responsible for your own safety and that of your helpers. You should have public liability insurance to cover you should a member of the public be caused any injury as a result of your equipment or staff/volunteers actions.
Organisations will not be permitted to have collection pots on their stands, but you may sell goods and provide ‘freebies’. Overall, any funds raised on the day will be distributed between all the organisations taking part, so you might benefit from some fundraising, too!
If you are interested in taking part, please complete the attached Booking Form and return to me by Friday 29th April latest. Space will not be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, in order to make it fairer for small organisations whose staff/volunteers are limited and who are unable to respond quickly. However, late applications will not be accepted.
You will be notified early in May regarding the success of securing a space. (Please note that if the event is over-subscribed, priority will normally be given to local Andover area organisations.)
