Pride of Andover Sponsors Look Forward to Special Awards NightWith just over a week to go, sponsors of the 2015 Pride of Andover Awards are looking forward to a glitzy awards evening, hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen, celebrating the unsung heroes of Andover.

The annual event’s main sponsor, David Mellor Jewellers, has been established in Andover for around 40 years and has a long-standing history of supporting local causes. They will be sponsoring the Spirit of Andover Award – the ultimate title that recognises an individual or group who really have gone above and beyond to give something back to the local community.

“Being the main sponsor is our way of saying thank you for all the support we’ve had as we built our business, and indeed continue to receive from the town” said Christine Mellor.

“We are honoured to be part of such an amazing scheme that recognises the importance of celebrating outstanding citizens in our community.”

“We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, as without their generosity, the Pride of Andover Awards would simply not be as successful as it is today. It’s great to know that there are local businesses out there that want to help us say thank you to the selfless and inspirational people in our community and we look forward to seeing them at our awards evening next week” added Karen Hamilton, Chairman of The Pride of Andover Awards.

As well as supporting the event for the past two years, David and Christine Mellor have pledged to carry on their support as main sponsors until 2018.

They will be joined by Award Category Sponsors KP Safety Solutions, The Breeze Radio, Andover and Test Valley Gazette, Bulpitt Print Simplyhealth and Andover IT as well as Event Sponsors, finalists and guests on Monday 2 November at The Lights. Details of each of the award categories and their sponsors can be found via the scheme’s website www.prideofandoverawards.org.uk
