Southern Electricity have confirmed a power outage across St Mary Bourne, Hurstbourne Tarrant, Stoke and Hurstbourne Priors.
Affecting 779 customers, the power went off at 12.50, came back on for a couple of second and went off again.
A spokesperson from Southern Electric said that a team was en route to investigate the cause of the issue and power should be reinstated by 13.50.
Andrew Wells from St Mary Bourne told Andover & Villages, “A transformer shorting out and sparking to the rear of Stevens Green in St Mary Bourne is the cause.
“I have told Southern Electric and we are now waiting to see what they are going to do.”
