Poll cards for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Election for the Hampshire Police Area on 5 May 2016 are now being sent out across Test Valley to residents registered to vote.
In order to have a say in this election, voters must be registered. Anyone not already registered can register at www.testvalley.gov.uk/pccelection or by contacting Electoral Services at Test Valley Borough Council. The deadline for registering to vote is 18 April 2016.
The poll cards include details of where to go to vote and how to find out more about the PCC Election. They will also confirm if people have requested a postal vote or a proxy vote.
Postal voting and proxy voting provide a more flexible approach to help people who would otherwise find it difficult to make it to their polling station on election day. Applications can be requested by contacting Electoral Services at Test Valley Borough Council, or at www.testvalley.gov.uk/pccelection.
People can still apply for a postal vote application, but time is running out. The deadline is 5pm on 19 April 2016. Any applications received after this date will not be allowed for this election. Proxy vote applications must be received by 5pm on 26 April 2016.
