Five people have been injured in a road traffic collision, which happened southbound on the A33 just before the road joins with the A34 at about 6.55pm on Tuesday, June 2.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision. An investigation into the circumstances is taking place, and emergency services are still on the scene.
A 17-year-old girl has been taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries. Four other people are being treated for minor injuries; two at SGH and two at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
A section of the A33 where it joins with the A34, southbound, will be closed for at least the next three hours to allow a thorough investigation. Diversions are in place for vehicles travelling from the Basingstoke direction.
