Local News | Police Appeal - Gang Assaults Across Andover on Christmas Eve | Andover & VillagesOfficers are appealing for the public’s help after three men were assaulted in Andover on Christmas Eve.

The assaults took place in the Vigo Road area between 11pm and 11.30pm on Thursday, December 24.

In the first incident, a 60-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were walking home when they were assaulted by a group of people. The victims received cuts and bruising.

The second incident involved a 43-year-old man, who was kicked and punched to the head and body. He received a cut to the head and bruising, and was taken by ambulance to Winchester County Hospital.

A group of five people – two men and three women, all in their 20s – are said to have been involved in both incidents.

PC Ed Wiggans, from Basingstoke CID, said: “We would like to identify these people.

“Christmas Eve was a busy night for partygoers, with lots of people out enjoying the night. Did you see this group of people? Can you help identify them?”
