Police Tape

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident which occurred in Tidworth yesterday.

The incident took place between 7.20pm and 7.35pm on 19 July 2016 in Pennings Road. A woman, aged in her 30s, was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

Police would like to speak to two men who were in a vehicle in the area shortly after the incident and stopped to speak to a man near the scene. They were driving a red hatchback vehicle and are believed to be military personnel. The vehicle was being driven along Sidbury Circular Road and turned right onto the A338 towards Salisbury.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of common assault. He was taken to Melksham custody where he currently remains.

PC Jonathan Brunt said: “We are really keen to speak to these two men, who may be key witnesses to the incident.
