Local Amesbury News | Police Appeal for Verbal Abuse Witnesses | Andover & VillagesWiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly verbally abused at a bus stop in Amesbury.

The incident happened at around 10.30am on Monday 1 August 2016 at the bus stop by the central car park in The Centre.

The victim, who is in his 60s, was walking past the bus stop when he was approached by another man who stood close to him and allegedly threatened him.

He was not injured.

The two men were known to each other.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 40s, around 5ft 11ins tall, of a muscular build and with tear-drop tattoos on his face.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further enquiries.
