Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault which occurred in Solstice Park, Amesbury.

At approximately 8pm on Wednesday 20 July 2016, a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were parked in the car park in a white Renault Clio when four men approached their vehicle and caused damage to the car before assaulting the man, causing injuries to his face and knee.

The men then ran from the scene, but were later located on the A419 near Cirencester.

The men, aged 18, 25, 27 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of GBH. The 25-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

They were taken to custody at Gablecross police station in Swindon where they remain this morning.

DC Steve Binks said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident in Solstice Park yesterday evening at around 8.00pm. This was a nasty incident and the victim has sustained injuries to his face and knee as a result.

“Anyone who has any information in relation to the incident, no matter how insignificant it may seem, should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.”
