Police Appeal Fatal Incident on A303 An investigation is underway into a fatal road traffic collision on the A303 at Sutton Scotney near Winchester.

Police were called at 4.56pm this afternoon (Sunday, July 19, 2015) to the westbound carriageway of the A303 west of Bullingdon Cross interchange.

A car travelling west was involved in a collision with a lorry parked in a lay-by.

Two people were travelling in the car: the driver and a front seat passenger.

The front seat passenger, a man, was later pronounced dead.

The car driver, a woman, is receiving medical attention for critical injuries.

Police are in the process of informing next-of-kin.

The lorry driver received minor injuries, and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A section of the A303 was closed to allow for a police examination of the collision scene. We would like to thank motorists for their patience and co-operation.
