Police Appeal Following Fatal Collision in KingsclerePolice are appealing for drivers to come forward following a fatal collision between two vehicles on the A339 near to Kingsclere shortly before 7.16am this morning (Sunday, May 3).

Tragically one person has died and another has been injured and is receiving hospital treatment.

Officers are particularly keen to talk to the owner of a silver vehicle possibly parked in a layby on the A339 seen flashing it’s headlights to oncoming traffic after the accident as we believe they may be able to help us with our investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

The road is currently closed in both directions and diversions are in place. We would ask drivers to avoid the area for at least the next few hours.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Sergeant Martin Munday from Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting Operation GLATTON

You can also call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
