Local news | Police Appeal Following Abbotts Ann CrashPolice are appealing for information after a fatal collision on the A343 near Abbotts Ann early this morning (Friday, September 25).

A grey coloured Renault Laguna was in collision with a heavy goods vehicle just after 5.30am this morning. The driver of the Laguna a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the heavy goods vehicle was unhurt.

The A343 remains closed in both directions at the junction with Old Stockbridge Road to St Johns Cross.

Police continue to investigate the exact circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, particularly any drivers who may have seen the Renault Laguna immediately before the incident.
