The Alabaré charity shop located in Andover High Street has undergone a transformation and reopened on Monday 19th October as a mother, baby and children’s specific shop.
Andover & Villages paid the shop a visit on Friday and we were met by a huge variety of items on offer, from baby and children clothes to maternity wear, bedding and curtains to brighten any nursery, a huge variety toys and books for children of all ages and baby essentials such as highchairs, stairgates, pushchairs and potties.
Area Manager Lynn Ireland explained the idea behind the change of direction for the shop, “Aside from a furniture specific store in Amesbury, Alabaré have never opened a shop like this before, but we know from the clients that we deal with that there is a huge demand for good quality children and baby clothes and all the other paraphernalia. Since we have been in stocking the shop we have had so many people knocking on the door, interested to know what we are doing.”
Alabaré are currently looking for volunteers to help in the shop, and welcome donations of clothing, toys and baby equipment. For more information you can contact Lynn on 07765405492.
