National Toast Day with Kingsmill will once again be celebrating the nation’s love of toast and all of our favourite toast toppings on Thursday 23 February 2017.
Whether your [toasting] bread of choice is a deliciously soft white, a malty wholemeal, a sweet and tasty Fruit loaf, or even Gluten Free, it has been scientifically proven that toast is Britain’s most loved food smell. The man at the helm of this research was Professor Tim Jacob, School of Biosciences at Cardiff University; his fascinating pop-up studies revealed that the smell of toast triggers memories of happiness. We’ll raise a toast to that!
For tip-top toast fanatics, Kingsmill has recently launched its Super Toasty loaf. Baked using a special blend of flours and thickly sliced.
