Andover's Good Food Guide| National Toast Day Smells Perfect | Andover & VillagesNational Toast Day with Kingsmill will once again be celebrating the nation’s love of toast and all of our favourite toast toppings on Thursday 23 February 2017.

Whether your [toasting] bread of choice is a deliciously soft white, a malty wholemeal, a sweet and tasty Fruit loaf, or even Gluten Free, it has been scientifically proven that toast is Britain’s most loved food smell. The man at the helm of this research was Professor Tim Jacob, School of Biosciences at Cardiff University; his fascinating pop-up studies revealed that the smell of toast triggers memories of happiness. We’ll raise a toast to that!

For tip-top toast fanatics, Kingsmill has recently launched its Super Toasty loaf. Baked using a special blend of flours and thickly sliced. Kingsmill Super Toasty makes delicious warming toast that is crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. Perfect with your favourite topping or just savour a slice or two, simply spread with butter.

Be a part of the big toasty debate by tweeting us on the day at @WorldBreadAward with the hashtags #NationalToastDay and #LoveToToast or post on our Facebook Page, telling us how you take your toast.

Plus, you’ll be entered into our competition to win toasty prizes, including a toaster, and a year’s supply of Super Toasty (yes, a pop-tastic 52 weeks-worth of Kingsmill Super Toasty) plus, we have a Tiptree breakfast hamper bursting with a variety of their delicious preserves and sauces and two Lakeland ‘bread makers,’ so you can bake your own – all lovingly put together to celebrate National Toast Day.

Tell us how you take your toast on Thursday 23 February 2017.
