Organised by the Members of the Andover Youth Council, “A-Fest” will be coming to Andover on Friday 17th April 2015 with a mixture of live music and activities.
The Members of Andover Youth Council spoke to their peers and set up surveys to find out what the young people of Andover felt they needed and an alcohol free festival came back as one of the main requests.
Aimed at 11 – 25 year olds, the event will run from 3.00pm to 9.00pm in Andover’s High Street with live music, free activities, local businesses and local support organisations. Unlike other events this is being organised by the young people in Andover.
“We know it’s a big task but we are passionate about making it work” said Georgina, spokesperson for Andover Youth Council.
“We’ve spoken to family and friends and the feedback has been good. This is what young people in Andover said they wanted so we are going to give it to them” she added.
To help with the event, Andover Youth Council is looking for volunteers before and on the day as well as local businesses that would like to sponsor it.
