The Met office have issued a warning of heavy rain for Andover and the surrounding areas.
Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with a risk of thunder, are expected during Tuesday, giving a risk of local accumulations in excess of 20-30 mm.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “Outbreaks of rain developing over parts of southern UK early on Tuesday are expected to become heavier and more widespread through the course of the day. In particular, during the late morning and afternoon, some heavy rain is likely at times, rain accompanied by thunder for some. Rainfall accumulations within the warning area will generally be up to 20 mm. However, some locally higher accumulations are likely.”
The public are advised to be aware of the potential for further localised flooding and disruption to travel.
