Learn more about the Test Valley Business Awards Small Business of the Year finalists…
The 14th September marks the 13th annual Test Valley Business Awards; celebrating local business excellence and supporting businesses to grow year upon year.
The Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Wilkins Kennedy, has been a key category in the Awards for several years, recognising the achievements of businesses employing 15 people or less, with particular focus on quality customer service, recent successes and future challenges, and achieving targets.
The Awards Ceremony offers a chance for small businesses in Test Valley to share their stories and celebrate success, and build lasting relationships. The Awards offer a great opportunity to gain valuable publicity and promote their expertise.
The finalists in this category for 2017, are:
• Orchid Furniture
• Active Staff Ltd.
• UCPS Learning Ltd.
Lucy Dixon of Wilkins Kennedy comments of this year’s category finalists:
“The standard of entries this year was very high and it has made the judging process and shortlisting even more interesting. It is great to see local businesses’ achievements celebrated. I have met a number of inspirational people during the judging process and I wish all the entrants the very best for the future and good luck to the shortlisted entries for the gala award ceremony.”
Wilkins Kennedy LLP was established in 1882 and has grown to become one of the UK’s top 20 firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers with a turnover of over circa £40 million.
Darren Smith of UCPS Leaning commented of being shortlisted:
“We’re really excited about being shortlisted for the Small Business of the Year Award. We’ve been creating online-learning for three years in Andover, and we believe that being shortlisted marks a milestone in our growth.”
Similarly, Lisa Armstrong of Active Staff remarked:
“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for the ‘Small Business of the year’ category in this year’s Test Valley Business Awards. It’s an honour to be recognised among the very best small businesses in our region.”
Now in its 13th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a small steering group of volunteers and supported by the Council – has become a well-established platform to promote businesses excellence and especially to shine a light on the many new and small innovative businesses operating out of sight. It is a great way to enable smaller enterprises to gain the recognition and exposure to grow.
The Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony will take place at The Museum of Army , on the evening of 14th September. Tickets are just £50 to include a welcome drink and sumptuous 3 course meal provided by Michelin Award Winning chefs McCrimmon & Reid.
