Man Assaulted and Robbed in Andover

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Andover.   The incident occurred between 3am and 3.30am on Friday, April 18 on Batchelors Barn Road.   The victim, a 34-year-old man from Andover, was walking home alone after a night out when he was hit from behind by two unknown men resulting in injuries to his face and neck.   His brown leather wallet containing cash and cards was stolen during the incident.   The first suspect is described as:      White man     Aged between 28 and 35     About 6ft tall     Short dark hair on the back and sides and longer on the top     Well built    The second suspect was described as:      White man     Aged between 26 and 30     About 5ft 10 to 5ft 11 tall     Very dark hair and a dark trimmed beard.    PC Kayleigh Rush from Andover police station said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has heard anything about who may be responsible.”   Anyone with information should contact PC Rush from Andover police station by calling 101.
