Appeal To Find Two Burglars
A 25-year-old man was arrested early this morning following an incident in Tisbury.

We received a call from a member of the public shortly before 3am reporting that a black Ford Focus had collided with a number of vehicles on the Churchill estate.

The driver was reported to have left the scene.

Officers attended the scene and located the vehicle which had considerable damage to the front offside and no keys in the ignition.

Through enquiries, officers located a man at an address nearby.

He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, failing to stop and failing to report a collision.

He was taken to Melksham custody for questioning where he remains.

A/Insp Jeff Rice, of the West Community Policing Team, said: “A number of vehicles were damaged during this incident, including an Audi A3, BMW 318I, Ford Mondeo, Honda Jazz and a Nissan Navara. We’d encourage any members of the public who believe their vehicle was damaged during the incident, who has not yet reported it, to contact police on 101 and quote crime reference number 54180092432.

“This was good work by officers, who located and arrested a man matching the description given, within an hour of the incident being reported.”
