Tidworth Station road fire

A fire described as ‘major’ started at the old Lloyds bank building on Station Road in Tidworth this morning (Friday, 4th October 2019).

Fire crews from Andover, Amesbury, Lugershall, Swindon, Devizes, Marlborough attended the scene.

Tidworth Council Mayor, Brain Pratt Said, “I am glad that no one was injured, let the men and women of the emergency service get on with their work”

At the time of publication, there were no reported injuries and no one had been evacuated from their homes.

The Mayor has offered the use of the Community Centre, but it does not appear that its use was required.

Eight fire engines attended the scene.

Salisbury Reds Bus Service have said on Twitter, “Due to last night major fire in Station Road Tidworth, this road may be subject to road closures if so your nearest stop will be Hampshire Cross, we will keep you updated”
