A local man from Andover has been arrested following a collision that left his passenger needing treatment.

A Ford Mondeo collided with a parked car before crashing into a field on High Street, Figheldean at about 5.00am today, 10th June, Monday.

Emergency services were in attendance and a male passenger was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by an ambulance.

The driver of the Mondeo, a 36-year-old man from Andover, was arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving. He currently remains in custody.
