As the nomination period for this year’s Pride of Andover Awards draws to a close, time is running out to put Andover’s most inspiring unsung heroes forward for an award.

Sponsored by passionate local businesses keen to recognise positivity and community spirit within the town, this year’s 9 awards categories have been created to shine a much needed light on inspiring individuals working & volunteering in and around Andover; strengthening our community. The Pride of Andover Awards 2018 offers the opportunity for anyone nominated to be shortlisted for an award, including the Services Award, sponsored by Andover Framing.

The Services Award exists to recognise an individual or team from the public or private sector who has gone beyond the remit of their job to make an impact on peoples’ lives.

Rachel of Andover Framing commented of the Services Award:

“’Service’, the dictionary definition – the action of helping or doing work for someone; something that we all take for granted. But this award is special because the nominees go that extra mile without expecting reward. Everyone at Andover Framing is thrilled to put our names to recognition of going that extra mile.

“We would like to encourage the readers of this to nominate the person who put that extra effort in when they just didn’t have to and received nothing but a thank you.

“We want to say a SPECIAL BIG THANK YOU and with your help let them know how much they and their actions are appreciated.”

The category sponsors for The Pride of Andover Awards 2018 are:

• David Mellor Family Jewellers – Spirit of Andover Award

• The Commercial Centre – Sue Sheppard Award

• Andover Framing – Services Award

• Andover Vision – Community Champion Award

• New Street Dental Care – Young Person of the Year Award

• The Breeze – Inspiring Others Award

• Places for People – Sports Award
